Expanding Boundaries International (EBI) and Diaspora African Forum (DAF) Join Forces to Elevate STEAM and Workforce Development for Ghanaian Youth
ACCRA, GHANA – Expanding Boundaries International (EBI) is thrilled to announce a significant strategic partnership agreement with the Diaspora African Forum (DAF), also recognized as the Embassy of the Diaspora, housed at the prestigious W.E.B. Du Bois Centre in Accra.
A delegation from EBI, consisting of Mr. Samuel Lumor, Mr. Christopher Enu, and Mrs. Leticia Nortey, paid a courtesy visit to H.E. Ambassador Dr. Ericka Bennett to share the vital work EBI is conducting, including the STEAM Exchange program, the Ghana Summer Cultural Immersion Study Abroad program for U.S. students, and the Internship & Volunteer program in Ghana.
The partnership leverages DAF’s diplomatic status, expertise, and extensive global network to provide robust support to Ghanaian students and ensure EBI’s initiatives are strategically aligned with Ghana’s national development goals.
“This collaboration and endorsement is a major boost to our organization because of the caliber of organization that DAF represents in Ghana, Africa, and globally. EBI is privileged to be endorsed and supported by the DAF leaders,”Leticia Nortey, Executive Director of EBI
H.E. Ambassador Dr. Ericka Bennett and her team have already been instrumental in assisting EBI in securing strategic partnerships and meeting with key decision-makers in the region.
Strengthening the U.S.-Ghana/Diaspora Corridor
This collaboration goes beyond educational exchange, serving as a critical bridge for Ghanaian and American students, as well as the American Diaspora looking to engage with Ghana.
The partnership is strategically positioned to support those who plan to come to Ghana in any capacity, whether to explore, volunteer, intern, or pursue real estate and other investment opportunities. By leveraging DAF’s diplomatic expertise and EBI’s on-the-ground programs, the organizations will provide:
- Guided Pathways: For U.S. students and the Diaspora seeking structured study abroad and cultural immersion experiences.
- Workforce Readiness: Direct training and upskilling for Ghanaian youth, preparing them to participate in a globally connected economy.
- Reliable Network: A trusted, formalized network that can guide investors and real estate buyers through the necessary legal and administrative processes in Ghana.
Collaborative Focus and Upcoming Event
The partnership will focus on high-impact collaborative work, primarily in after-school programs and workforce development for the youth. Key activities will include hosting hands-on learning workshops in critical future skills:
- Resume Writing
- AI Learning
- Coding and Robotics
- Financial Literacy
The first major joint initiative will be the Global Young Innovators STEAM Fest in Kibi, Eastern Region, scheduled for July 11th, where DAF will be a key partner.
